Learn to Record – Tracking and Engineering

I like teaching people how to record the music they love. If you’re interested in one-on-one in person learning, please fill out the contact form on this page. Remote learning options are being developed and will be available soon.

The focus of this education will be around mic placement, setting up and using outboard mic preamps, EQs, compressors, patchbay configuration, and getting the best signal before going into the computer. From there, you’ll learn how to edit recorded tracks, use plugins, make a reference mix, and prepare tracks to be mixed by a different mix engineer.

My goal is to empower musicians and producers to make better and informed decisions for the music they are recording, as well as being comfortable when entering a recording studio. There’s no reason to be intimidated by the tools needed once you know how to use them properly.

Once I receive the form submission, we’ll schedule a call to talk about your goals in recording music. From there we’ll develop a learning plan specific to you’d like to be as a recording engineer. I look forward to speaking with you!
